From humble beginnings in rural Oklahoma, Southern Star Capital and our family of companies, has grown into a large operating and investment firm with a footprint covering much of Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and New Mexico.

 

In 1985 our founder, started with little more than a truck, a set of tools, and a dream. Beginning as an installer of C-Band satellite dishes, he transformed Southern Star into the leading retailer for Primestar before becoming the largest service provider for DISH Network. What began as a one-man operation grew into a field operation with over 500 technicians.

 

Along the way we have successfully started or invested in multiple companies ranging from structured wiring, signage and construction products to package delivery for the world’s largest online retailer and an industry leading warehousing and logistics firm operating in 20 states.

 

Our current portfolio includes a field services firm with links to satellite TV and internet installation, a mobile vehicle maintenance company that services large private and government fleets, a professional services group that provides back-office support to small businesses and a commercial kitchen fabrication and repair company.

 

With corporate offices in Oklahoma, Texas, and Colorado, we are actively seeking operating companies that are a mutual fit for our investment philosophy and the growth ambitions of owners and entrepreneurs.
